Everything is extremely high stakes-literally life or death-at Seattle Grace Hospital, and yet it's not so serious. It's the same reason that Grey's Anatomy has proven so popular for 19 seasons. And yet something dramatic and entertaining is happening. You can look down at your computer to answer emails for a 40-minute span, look back up again, and you haven't missed anything particularly significant. The dialogue may make you roll your eyes, but it's clever just often enough.
